Cody Harper is Managing Principal of Powerhouse Capital Markets, a Chicago-based real estate capital advisory firm serving clients nationwide. He directs the firm’s strategy and leads its capital markets and investment sales engagements, advising owners, investors, and developers on debt and equity placements, acquisitions, and dispositions.
Cody brings more than 25 years of experience across commercial real estate lending, capital markets advisory, and strategic finance. He has structured, underwritten, and executed more than $5 billion in transactions spanning real estate finance, structured finance, affordable housing, corporate finance, and business advisory. His experience in lending, underwriting, and credit ratings informs how he evaluates risk, structures transactions, and prepares opportunities for the market. His institutional experience includes DBRS Morningstar, Huron Consulting Group, Citi Community Capital, Capmark (GMAC), and EY.
Cody earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BBA in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is a licensed Illinois Real Estate Managing Broker and serves as Designated Managing Broker of Powerhouse Capital Markets, LLC, overseeing the firm's licensed real estate brokerage activities.
